HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Seasonal boating

The houseboat is now winterised until early next year. Most perishable items are stowed away on board, however we hope to install a stove in the cabin soon, to extend use during colder periods. This year, a picture of the houseboat with alder trees at Salhouse (like the above) has been jazzed up by Andrew to form our electronic greetings card.

Conditions can be harsh in winter on the water, nevertheless many people will be spending Christmas time afloat on houseboats, continuing an age old custom here in Broadland and indeed around our watery planet.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Heather this year. We look forward to visiting new places and welcoming guests old and new on board in 2014.

Andrew, Chris
