HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Feed the birds

In an attempt to raise funds for the continuing restoration of the houseboat, we have set up a stand selling organic food, for visitors to feed water birds. The food consists of natural, locally sourced quality grain, packaged in colourful paper bags. Grain is a healthier alternative to stodgy food like bread, usually dispensed in plastic bags, which are harmful to wildlife.

The water bird food is available at Royall's Boatyard moorings, beside Riverside Road in Hoveton, postcode NR12 8UD, about 3 minutes walk from Wroxham Road Bridge.
