HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Art in nature on the waterside

When you take time to look closer around the rivers and backwaters of Broadland ~ and indeed anywhere, wildlife can present stunning sights.

One of the pictures shows a majestic local heron, or 'harnser' in Norfolk tongue, putting his head above the paraphet ~ beside a beautiful colourful planter on the Wroxham Hotel decking.

The most effective way to save the threatened and decimated natural world, is to cause people to fall in love with it again, with its beauty and its reality.
