HEATHER
Welcome to Heather
Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.
Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.
Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Transports of delights
It's never been easier to travel to Hoveton's riverside ~ Heather's home. Hoveton and the more well signposted Wroxham is only 7 miles (11.2km) on the A1151 from Norwich ~ the capital of Eastern England. Free parking is plentiful over the bridge around the shopping quarter, although some other car parks charge.
Trains run hourly on the Bittern railway line between the city and Sheringham on the coast, connecting with main line services to London and the rest of the country. Bus services operate regularly to and from local towns and Norwich to handy stops in the High Street.
Norwich is well served by a regional airport ~ now even closer and accessible to Hoveton by the building of the Broadland Northway ring road.
For the more energetic, a series of limited footpaths and bicycle lanes criss cross the area, however a safe complete pathway to Norwich doesn't exist at present. And, of course the Bure ~ chief river of Norfolk can be navigated by boat (depending on dimensions due to bridges and draught) from potentially anywhere on the globe.
