HEATHER
Welcome to Heather
Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.
Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.
Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Theatre of wildfowl
The publicly accessible waterfront quays in Hoveton present a perfect vantage point to see a panoply of water birds and other creatures. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and even smells of the riverside. Centre stage are the ancient and colourful breeds of wildfowl.
Bridge Reach on the River Bure, Hoveton and Wroxham is home to some of the largest flocks of greylag geese and mute swans in the region. Occasional ducks also paddle by and surprising birds, such as shy black~feathered moorhens, or a gleaming blue kingfisher may be spotted darting across the river. The birds more often have strong personalities and some quite flighty behaviour can be seen by those with keen eyes.
