Welcome to Heather

Hook a duck ~ or fish

The coarse fishing season has now begun on the Broadland rivers. With the great variety of fish in the River Bure and plenty of accessible banks ~ many hours of fun can be had expectantly waiting to lure them onto the hook. By chance a local angler caught one of the mallard duck decoys, while casting out into Granary cut at Hoveton St John.

Fishing lines can accidentally snag on branches, boats and elsewhere on the riverside. Please be careful, as the synthetic lines can become entangled on water birds and injure other creatures.
