HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Swan pond ~ 21 years of Hoveton Riverside Park

A family group of mute swans milling around the dyke at the public Riverside Park in Hoveton. The one and a half acre park was officially opened 21 years ago in 1999 to the sound of brass fanfares, traditional boats and other festivities. Once the well known base for fleets of stylish timber tour craft, amongst other fine facilities; including an art gallery and restaurant ~ the area is now a restful shaded spot for various activities, such as picnics, exercise and boating. The water courses and surrounding quays are perfect for fishing, or feeding the water birds, all in a pleasant green location. Andrew
