HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Mr Stubby ~ Light end of the stick

In days long gone by Mr Stubby used to fy~out (clean out) dykes and becks. Over the summer he put his hands to quay heading and wherrying on the rivers. In retirement he loves nothing better than spending time gently mardling (chatting) with fellow locals and guests about this and that. A topic of conversation that is a bug bear to Mr Stubby is the high price and quality of tanalised deal timber nowadays.
