Tough old birds and fishes

Very curious things happen all the while, not least in the animal kingdom. If we stop to think about humanity ~ our usually inflated egotistical and compartmentised lives are sometimes quite different to many other species on planet earth. With limited space in parts of the globe, wild creatures and mankind often colide.

One wintry morning an electric blue kingfisher accidently flew into a big plate glass window at the Bridge Restaurant in Wroxham. The beautiful bird perched dazed and confused on the deck for sometime ~ to both the delight and concern of breakfast diners. Suddenly he came to and darted off to more natural haunts.

A couple of Oh Crumbs stalwart family team having a break on Granary Staithe freed a fish that was marooned in the bottom of a dinghy. Somehow the fine black striped perch had succeeded in being stuck in his floating fish bowl with a glazed lid of ice.

Please note, animals were harmed in this article by their own unplanned mistakes.
