HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Duckie and the Purple~faced langurs

The travelling duckie who accompanied John to Sri Lanka found herself in the company of a pack of cheeky primates. Purple ~ or rather greyish faced langurs are indigenous to the tropical island.

The monkeys possess big white whiskers, brown tufts of hair on their heads and have very long tails. Originally inhabiting deep forests, they now often roam into built up areas.

John, C

..."I shall be going to sea someday," said John, "and so will Roger. But we'll always come back here on leave."
"I shall bring my monkey," said Roger.
"And the parrot shall always come," said Titty.
