HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

New chapter for Heather

After six glorious years of being berthed by Granary Staithe in Hoveton; the winds have changed and suddenly we have been asked to move on. So begins a new chapter for the houseboat!

Many thanks to all of Heather's supporters and everyone who advocated for us to remain at Granary Dyke for as long as we have. Special thanks to everybody who has steadfastly challenged the objections from those who were against us being there.

We've met so many lovely people ~ and countless funny things happened on the waterside area by the bridges spanning the River Bure. It has also been wonderful to be around the mass of wildlife and waterfowl and help care for them.
