Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Festive Feed


With temperatures dropping and natural food scarcer, semi~wild waterfowl on the Upper River Bure rely evermore so on wholesome tucker.

Everyone is warmly welcome to the festive waterfowl feed on Monday 1st of January 2024 at 1.00pm, taking place at Granary Staithe Quayside (by Wroxham Bridge), Hoveton St John.

Contributions are gratefully received for both Hoveton Village Hall and Fields fund and Marine and Wildlife Rescue.
