The improved greylag booth on the corner of the riverside quays with attendant mute swans and Bob the boat dog.
Birds can be temperamental like all animals. Waterfowl, especially mute swans on the Upper River Bure will invariably approach people by paddling up to the river bank, or even waddle up on the land. This is a habit formed over a very long length of time, due to the fact that the noble birds here are semi~domesticated. The swan colony has been used to human management and company for centuries.
