HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Duckies of the fall

A trio of fluffy mallard ducklings have appeared on the River Bure at Hoveton. They swam into Granary Staithe Dyke and delighted people walking by.

Morag from the British Waterfowl Association explains ~ "Ducks can have 3 clutches a year, with up to 12 born each time. Late ones often struggle to find food if there are early cold snaps, although they can survive."
