HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Water Bird Food booth update

The greylag booth along Hoveton Riverside Walk is closed for the foreseeable future due to ongoing legal proceedings. Our quality food for ducks, swans and geese, plus Bobby's dog biscuits are available at the friendly Water's Edge Restaurant vestibule by Wroxham Bridge. Heather’s team have legitimately supplied blended water bird food beside the River Bure for 11 years. The booths help keep classic houseboat Heather, built in the early 1900s as a military pontoon ~ and the partnered riverside trust, formed in spring this year, with a neuroatypical and conservation ethos. Thank you kindly to everyone who truly knows and supports us. Andrew, Timothy, Chris
