HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Harvest time

The harvesting of the crops around Hoveton is in full swing. You may have noticed big sophisticated agricultural vehicles trundling over Wroxham bridge at most hours of the day and even at night. Farming is the bedrock of the country ~ gathering of crops like hay, barley, wheat, oats and other varieties during dry periods is essential.

The water bird food has newly added ingredients, including maize and pea flakes and corn, to help improve the diet for wildfowl.
