HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Whats your line?

Heather's reconditioned truck has been wheeled down to the free moorings lane, Hoveton St John. The hand wheeled vehicle is finished in a pleasing teal blue~green livery ~ a colour concocted from a mixture of original livery colours used on board the houseboat over a hundred years.

Inspiration for the truck is partly derived from historical village outlets, including the landmark Chamberlin's newsagent and gift shop, based by Granary Staithe and Ward's and Sacret's stores.

The truck is multi~functional ~ serving as a shop opening on occasions. However, there is potential for other uses. If you have any ideas ~ for example displaying your art, design and craft work ~ please let us know.

Have you a saying, phrase or quotation to chalk up on the side of the truck. Please share your suggestions....
