HEATHER
Welcome to Heather
Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.
Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.
Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

An alternative "people's" logo for the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads
The cherished glistening waterways of Broadland stretching over 200 miles are a great place to explore all year round. Winding rivers and interlinking broads are at centre of the atmospheric marshy world on the eastern chunk of England.
Even as the Broads are effectively a conserved maritime port haven, the area lacks lawful status as a National Park. An ongoing large scale branding campaign includes a number of road signs across the two counties ~ with unusable copyright dragonfly motifs. The effect of this negative scheme only confuses the public and has a socially divisive and economic impact on Broadland and the people who live, work and visit here.
A wide range of independent technicians, businesses and arts and crafts people all depend on visitors, both locally based and from further afield. Previously, free thinking organisations such as the Broadland Partnership spearheaded positive projects to improve things in the district. In a more complex digital world the need for a clear, honest and simple emblem for Broadland has never been so timely.
Help release the potential of our waterways by making an authentic logo for the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. Cultural elements that represent the waterways could be used in the design, for example ~ boats, fen plants, wildlife, windpumps, flint stone.
The winning logo will be chosen by public vote and then added to a welcoming strapline. When finished the logo can be freely used by anyone and displayed as stickers at shops, boat companies, restaurants and elsewhere, helping increase revenue for the local economy.
