HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

A course of life saving

Some friends of Heather went along to a seminar presented by former flying Doctor Tom Moore of the East of England Air Ambulance Service, at Ludham Village Hall. We learned both theory and hands on practise of giving Call Push Rescue (CPR) to a resuscitation manikin (representing someone unconscious). The resuscitation method in a real life situation is designed to be used with a defibrillation device, albeit in conjunction with emergency services.

The yellow external, slightly rusticated defibrillation box in Hoveton is located outside the Lions community charity shop in the Riverside Centre.
