HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Original and locally based nutritional provisions for waterfowl

🌱 Blended and balanced waterfowl food full of varying ingredients to replicate what semi~domesticated mute swans, ducks and geese eat in the wild is available at the Horseshoes Corner of the official Riverside Walk, in between the King's Head Hotel and Free Moorings, Hoveton.

🦢 We work with a range of public and private bodies to look after the welfare of waterfowl living on the Upper River Bure through the seasons.

🔱 Some of the income from Heather's water bird food booths goes towards the upkeep of a one of a kind timber houseboat, national small boat registration number 1440 ~ the database is maintained at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
