When the chips are down for a wagtail bird

Three leading ladies Chelsea, Chloe and Grace of Ken's traditional fish and chips, Hoveton found a tiny abandoned baby wagtail that had previously lived in a nest in the roof guttering.

The bird was picked up off the shingled yard and momentarily kept at Wroxham Launch Hire cabin. A plastic tray was utilised as a temporary bird house, with paper towels placed in the bottom to make a comfortable soft base. For ventilation a clipboard was taped around the tray top, leaving a gap. Carol who came to collect the bird found that he was covered in bugs. The lost wagtail is now recuperating with other orphaned birds.
