HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Celebrating Hoveton

Although often overshadowed by Wroxham, the village of Hoveton has been a crucible of creativity for many score centuries. Agriculture, manufacturing, the arts including literature and commerce have all made an impact. As well as being a famous inland maritime centre, the area is stocked full of spectacular wildlife like red deer and mute swans.

To celebrate the identity of Hoveton, we commissioned a poster to showcase elements of the riverside. Visual artist Ben, otherwise known as BJ The Bear from Bradford, West Yorkshire designed the travel style poster. Ben has family history in Norfolk. He spent a good deal of time bringing features together to produce the final design. The first draft is pictured above.
