Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Little Waterfowl truck


The blue~green waterfowl truck used as a store for rescue equipment for injured birds was damaged earlier in the summer, when it was forcibly wheeled away from the riverside centre without our knowledge.

In another life the quirky vehicle served as a Royal Mail Postal Electric Delivery Truck (PEDT).

Repairs and modifications are now underway on the classic truck. There are also plans to utilise the shapely body for artwork and information panels about our beloved waterways.
