HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Setting the stage for drama, conflict and peace

Some of Heather's friends are involved in re~establishing a drama group based at Hoveton Village Hall. The building is seventy years old this year and is now in desperate need of reinvigoration, both in terms of infrastructure and community spirit.

Voluntary members of Hoveton Players are rehearsing for 'A Night to Remember' ~ a tribute to the golden wartime generation staged on 11th November from 7pm. Everyone is welcome to come along, sing and dance to the fundraiser of the year for the Village Hall. A bar with refreshments is open.
