For a few moments the casket floated along the flooded boat yard from its deep storage home. There is a hole at the bottom edge underneath however and it begins taking in water.
The display of the coffin is akin to an art installation. Varied forms of vivid imagery depicting mortality and afterlife have been made from the earliest times, both in high art and popular culture. Tudor portrait pictures for example often featured skulls, or similar symbols of death.
