HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Glam times

Only a few days until the 1970s Glam Night at Hoveton Village Hall. We thought it was timely to trawl through the riverside archives ~ a series of brilliant images of Hoveton~Wroxham were photographed by the Deltrice family.

Picture: Lovely Julie Deltrice stands by the zebra crossing over the main road between Roys Stores in Hoveton, when motor traffic was slower. The fabled tin chapel still conducted services ~ and a useful map of the village and benches were sited nearby for the inquisitive and restful.
