HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Swans in the city

Lacquered metal Save Our Swans badges, produced by gifted artist and wildlife fan Mark are available at the chilled and creative Merchant's House, 7 ~ 9 Fye Bridge Street, Norwich Over The Water.

Located right by the River Wensum, a mix of tasty food and drinks are served in a soulful building dating from Tudor times; when the wharves teemed with trading ships big and small. There's even an enchanting courtyard, hidden away from the busy streets.

Every single penny from the collection boxes goes to Marine and Wildlife Rescue ~ a highly esteemed organisation saving and rehabilitating animals in the region (link below).

A few mute swans live on the River Wensum, including a pair who ply the waters above New Mills (Photo: Edward).
