HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Swanning and diving

Last year, there was a striking sight of groups paddling around on giant mute swans on the Upper River Bure. Even the greylag geese were receptive to them. They were the brain child of vivacious Laura, who ran Buoyancy Bikes in a very caring, fun and considerate way.

For well over a century Hoveton~Wroxham has been a crucible for innovative boat companies and enterprise connected to the rivers and broads.    Some suggest this spirit is waning ~ what does the future hold for water based entrepreneurs...
