HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Heather joins the modern age ~ social media

As part of our plans for Heather, the crew are using social media to log developments, events, voyages and altogether share the houseboat. At the same time we can promote similar historic vessels, the diverse Broads area on Heather's doorstep and a number of worthy organisations.

A hand written Log & Guest Book was started in 2007 when Heather moved to Hoveton & Wroxham and details important activity on board. We began this online version ~ Heather's Blog in Autumn 2011. The houseboat has since joined Facebook, the Norfolk Broads Forum, Twitter and shares pictures on photobucket. We will develop a website in the future.
