HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Greylag gang

A large grouping of greylag geese can be regularly seen around the reaches of the River Bure in Hoveton~Wroxham. Do the greylags feel there is strength in numbers?

The accessible quays in Hoveton St John offer good vantage points to observe water birds, as does the fringe of Wroxham Broad, with the benefit of car parking.

Boats offer a perfect platform to see the geese and other waterfowl at very close quarters. It is an enthralling experience to glide silently, or drop anchor in a safe place to see and hear geese in their natural setting on the open water.
