Waterfowl booth incidents

Over recent weeks the waterside booths in Hoveton have suffered a targeted campaign of malicious damage. A pair of youths on bikes (and boats) have been seen repeatedly roaming around the area in a suspicious manner. The waterfowl truck has had an egg daubed on it and some big yellow plastic ducks were chucked in the river from the boardwalk running parallel to Granary Staithe.

These acts of vandalism follow on from the partial wrecking of articles:~ previously the truck and associated belongings were sited near Wroxham Bridge with the express authorisation of prominent business and land owners. The continuation of these venomous actions are deeply distressing.

We kindly ask for vigilance on the riverside. If you have experienced similar haranguing, please contact us.

For information: the Norfolk Police crime reference for these incidents is ~ 36/72430/23
