HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Tips for feeding waterfowl

Water birds ~ the resident herds of ducks, geese and mute swans on the Upper River Bure and elsewhere prefer their food ~ ideally natural based food, sprinkled onto the water. This is the genetic habit of waterfowl and aids their digestion.

Please note, it is advisable to sanitise your hands after coming into contact with river water ~ and any wildlife, including the semi~domesticated flocks of waterfowl in Hoveton and Wroxham.
