HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Pocket hag stones

Much has been written on social media about hag or witch stones. (It must be remembered that not all witches are bad, even if stories passed down since the middle ages paints quite a negative impression of witchcraft.) Here are two handy miniature versions ~ flint pebbles with holes bored through by mother nature.

Hag stones are said to help ward of evil spirits and were traditionally placed in chosen places to offer a form of protection.
