HEATHER

Welcome to Heather

Houseboat of character, docked in Hoveton by the River Bure on the Norfolk Broads Waterways.

Heather is cared for by a partnership of friends and family. Our aim is to preserve the distinctive style of the houseboat and enable future generations to enjoy her charms.

Explore the riverside, browse the shops and places to eat and drink ~ and much more beyond monumental Wroxham Bridge.

Cool paddlings

A few dozen people turned out to see and feed the water birds ~ including the famous colony of mute swans at Granary Staithe quay beside Wroxham Bridge on a very sunny First of January. Visitors were still coming down to the river at dusk to join in.

We are grateful to Mike's Animal Feeds of Meeting House Hill, North Walsham for kindly donating two sacks of wholesome free range pellets of wheat and corn and oystershell.
